Forecast for February 2010 (All times EST)
by Global Psychics Psychic

These forecasts are shifting from a Solar focus to a Lunar/monthly emphasis. The "Sun in Aquarius" for instance will be replaced by forecasts for February, March, and so on. This will be more helpful for folks who ritualize New Moons (new beginnings) and connect them to the Full Moons (completion), which each calendar page for 2010 allows in its proper sequence, a benefit that 2009's calendar did not.

For example, January's New Moon/Solar eclipse on the 15th sees its completion on January 30 at the Leo Full Moon within the same month (for a welcome change). That Solar eclipse featured Venus in the same degree as the Sun and Moon, a rare triple conjunction not seen since 1923. In this case, the magickal Sabian* image of "A nature spirit dancing in the iridescent mist of a waterfall," could be seen as too much lightness and fluff, incomplete and perhaps contradictory to recent events and shifting dynamics, without the sense of completion that a Full Moon can offer.

On deeper levels (literally), this image speaks to the occult (hidden) forces of the natural world, of everything from the playful Trickster energetic of the faerie realm in a harmless waterfall, to the destructive power of earthquakes and other natural disasters ("dis-" = unfavorable alignments of "-asters" = planets). Our current Mars retrograde, Saturn/Pluto square, and the concluding Mercury retrograde cycle would be prime examples of dis-asters, with a completely different set of dis-asters coming up in February.

The Full Moon of January 30 is therefore another natural force to contend with, but it is also tailor-made for those of us who are unafraid to discover what the occult world is trying to convey to us at this time - at yet another pivotal moment in our history - and/or in how to react to natural and unnatural (human-made) forces seemingly beyond our control.

As always, the Sabian symbols for the Sun and Moon need to be taken together, even though - and especially as - the Sun and Moon will appear to be on opposite sides of our Solar system. For the Sun at 11° Aquarius, "During a silent hour, a man receives a new inspiration which may change his life," while the Leo Moon's image is, "Children play on a swing hanging from the branches of a huge oak tree."

Putting it together, this lunation cycle is calling for us to suspend our disbelief of unseen natural and spiritual forces by seeking a silent hour of meditation - a moment or two of complete surrender and faith - during which we can receive some life-changing inspirations. The key here is to meditate care-free like children, swinging from the branches of the Tree of Life itself to which we're all connected.

Why? Because children don't know the meaning of the words fear, shame or guilt. We're not born with these deadly emotional conditions, we learn them as we age. This unholy trinity is a way of life that we can - and must - unlearn and deconstruct for the benefit of our Souls, the only thing we ever truly own. Within playfulness are opportunities to lighten ourselves up, properly redefining the word "enlightenment."

It's really that simple - and that imperative.
